Is it possible that someone could actually be worse off than you?

There is much greed and corruption, and often wealth is obtained through such means. I heard a caller on the radio who was in favor of redistribution of wealth. He was asked why he doesn't choose to live in a place like Cuba, or a socialistic or communistic country of his choice. The caller said because they already have it right ...they need to get it "right" here. Well, personally, I grew up in the U.P. of Michigan ...and if I felt that everyone should have cold, long winters, I doubt those who've moved to Florida or Arizona would be in favor of that. If I personally liked the ocean, yet refused to move there, I possibly could get on the "global warming" bandwagon, hoping it would happen so a whole new group of people could experience waterfront property ....a redistribution of the ocean. I personally like to have a choice. The United States of America has provided that choice, and I agree with what the caller was told ...if you want socialism, then there are nations that have it, that you can move to. But don't try to read more into it than I'm saying. I believe we should always try to improve upon what we have ...not just run away or go somewhere else. But I personally believe that making every country the same is not an improvement ...it could be fatal to our country. Some may welcome the (initial) change, but what would replace it ...and are you sure??? There are those of us who like the country that our Founding Father conceived of. And for well over 200 years, each generation has fought to maintain it. I don't think that suddenly, a few people, in a short amount of time, should deem themselves so wise as to rapidly change all that. As I said, I'd like a choice too ...a clear choice! Not the deception that they fell for ...under the socialistic ideals of the likes (or dislikes) of Hitler and Lenin. Don't think it could never happen here.
