The Anniversary of September 11th ....

                                                                                                                                                                                                   Dad & Mom don't have a computer (so no Facebook either ...how do they live?), but Happy Anniversary!! Why do we have anniversaries? Well, 15th wedding Anniversary, perhaps a challenge, with kids in their teens; 25th means kids are leaving home and husb and-wife must face each other again, after all these years with built-in distractions; 50th is a true celebration of their love and longevity.

Often anniversaries are not so we remember, but rather that we don't forget. Ten year anniversary of the September 11th tragedy ...what is so special about the milestone of ten years? It's usually after so many years that we tend to forget somewhat ...and it is important that we don't forget. It's also important that we don't forget the horrors of World War II, and the Holocaust. It's important that we don't forget many wars ...many of which we may not have been involved in, but which involved atrocities to some people. And we should study History to see how wrong choices and revolutions can carry many consequences. And it is even more important that we read 'His story'. By the way, my parents are celebrating their 59th wedding Anniversary on the 13th; they did not think it unlucky to be married on the 13th, and I have been given tremendous blessings because of their union. We have also been given many blessings because of the union of our United States of America. It hasn't always been easy ...but good things often aren't. Let us not forget!!
